Kicking Off the Summer 2019

Shields Up! With summer officially here, we had a busy start here at Shield Bearers! We are raising funds to help with the oncoming season.

For starters we had our Luigi’s Take out fundraiser on Wednesday, June 19th. Thanks to everybody that supported us! Luigis restaurant in Gonzales provided the food and it was great!

Next up was Flag Football on Friday! The games are all exciting to watch, full of trick plays and scoring galore! Catch up on all the action here.

Less than 8 hours later we were back at it at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital Employee appreciation day at Rancho Cielo! Shield Bearers cooked and cut up 1900 lbs of tri tip and about 1200 chicken halves!

It was a long week and next week we start our Fourth of July fireworks sale and Raffle Ticket Sales, so we’re pretty much non stop this summer! It’s a lot of work but we do it for one of the best causes we can think of, our kids!
