On Saturday November 23rd, Gonzales Spartans football celebrated their players at their awards Banquet Ceremony. Shield Bearers were there taking care of all the food and decorations.
The menu included BBQ Chicken from “Jaimito’s Catering”, loaded mashed potato’s, bread and salad, nacho’s for the kids, and plenty of cupcakes and cookies for dessert! These were all favorites of our players who we enjoyed serving one more time.
When they were not eating they were looking at pictures of the season that were scattered on each table. The pictures were free to take to the players and family members who attended. Several slide shows of the season played in the background, highlighting both the JV and Varsity season, as well as the trip to Hume Lake.
Smiles were the trend for the night as we celebrated the different achievements of the players. Shield Bearer members were proud to be part of it all. The focus now shifts to preparation for the off season.
